“Sirocco” // Ulrich Schnauss & Jonas Munk // Epic

Just gotten back from a long, long 10 day field trip in Wales and the weather is absolutely stunning. It’s definitely time for some exceedingly chill music on such a sunny day. Enjoy.

The title track of his latest album as seen through the chillwave-spectacles of KSIA.

So.

Dope.

Lusine - Two Dots

While maybe not wholly ambient, Lusine’s A Certain Distance was the first album that encouraged me to check out ambient as a genre. Still remains my most played album of all time. Fantastic downtempo electronic/IDM

“Xtal” // Aphex Twin // Selected Ambient Works

I want to say you can’t go wrong with a bit of Aphex Twin but you really can, people do have some pretty strong opinions on his work. It certainly pushes the envelope of “ambient”

Hauntingly beautiful.

Apologies for my absence guys, I’ve been a bit busy and have kinda sidelined ambient a little bit. Sorry :(

“Music Is Math” // Boards of Canada // Geogaddi

The Campfire Headphase > MHTRTC > Geogaddi. Controversial!

What are your favourite BoC releases?

“This Unfolds” // Four Tet // There Is Love In You

Minimal techno constructions from good ole’ Four Tet. Blinder of an album, it has to be said.

Review #6 coming a little later this evening; Christopher Bissonnette’s In Between Words. Watch this space.

“Don’t Cry Little Girl” // Saycet // One Day At Home

Found Saycet through their most recent chillwave-y album Through The Window, but their debut is much more ambient and IDM orientated. Reminds me a lot of Through The Parenthesis in terms of the sound. Easy listening while still managing to get your feet tapping and head nodding (albeit slowly).
